A nonprofit public service organization seeking "the reassertion of traditional academic ethics in our universities."

Accuracy in Media
"A nonprofit grassroots citizens watchdog of the news media that critiques botched and bungled news stories and sets the record straight on important issues that have received slanted coverage."

Acton Institute
The Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty is a "resource for those who seek to build prosperity and progress on a foundation of religious liberty, economic freedom, and personal moral responsibility."

American Center for Law and Justice
Dedicated to "defending the religious and civil liberties of Americans," including "pro-liberty, pro-life and pro-family causes."

American Enterprise Institute
"The American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research is dedicated to preserving and strengthening the foundations of freedom -- government, private enterprise, vital cultural and political institutions, and a strong foreign policy and national defense."

American Foreign Policy Council
Focuses on U.S. foreign policy issues in Asia and the former Soviet Union.

Brookings Institution
An "independent analyst and critic" serving as "a bridge between scholarship and public policy, bringing new knowledge to the attention of decision makers and affording scholars a better insight into public policy issues."

Cato Institute
Seeks to "broaden the parameters of public policy debate to allow consideration of more options that are consistent with the traditional American principles of limited government, individual liberty, and peace."

Center for Media & Public Affairs
Analyzes news coverage of  public policy and key issues.

Education Policy Institute
Seeks "to improve education through research, policy analysis, and the development of responsible alternatives to existing policies and practices." Promotes "greater parental choice in education" and "a competitive education industry."

Heritage Foundation
A research and educational institution "whose mission is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense."

Hudson Institute
A public policy research organization that "does not advocate an expressed ideology or political position" However, "in general, the institution's viewpoint embodies skepticism about conventional wisdom, an appreciation of technology's role in achieving progress, optimism about solving problems, a futurist orientation, a commitment to individuality and free institutions, and a respect for the importance of religion, culture, and values in human affairs."

Milken Institute

Overlawyered

Philanthropy Roundtable

Progressive Policy Institute

RAND Institute

Reason Foundation
A national research and educational organization that explores and promotes ... rationality and freedom as a basic underpinning of a good society." Supports "rule of law, private property, and limited government;" promotes "voluntarism and individual responsibility."

Reason Public Policy Institute
A research and education institution focusing on "workable policy changes that foster individual responsibility, choice, and competition."
